How to Get the Final Nuke in Merge a Nuke
A focused guide for reaching the final nuke by protecting your anchor tile, building upgrade waves, and avoiding board lock.
The final nuke is a space problem
Reaching the final nuke is less about tapping quickly and more about keeping the board readable. Every upgrade needs a partner, and every partner needs a path through the board.
If your highest tile moves every few seconds, you are probably spending too much space. Pick one corner and make the rest of the board feed that corner.
Use upgrade waves
Build small pairs first, convert them into mid-tier tiles, then merge those mid-tier tiles toward your anchor. This wave rhythm keeps the board from filling with unrelated pieces.
After each major merge, spend a few moves cleaning low tiles before chasing the next big jump.
Do not trap the anchor
A high tile surrounded by low pieces can become useless. Leave at least one side open so the matching upgrade can reach it. If low tiles start closing in, clear them before they become a wall.
Quick checklist
Keep the highest tile in one corner.
Build upgrades in waves.
Clean low tiles after each big merge.
Keep a path open to the anchor.
